Pedrosa the clear victor at Indianapolis


The Repsol Honda rider took a third win of the season for the first time in his premier class career at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix on Sunday, with home rider and pole man Ben Spies achieving his best MotoGP result to date in second. Championship leader Jorge Lorenzo completed the podium.

Dani Pedrosa narrowed the gap on Championship leader Jorge Lorenzo to 68 points with seven rounds of the 2010 season remaining by winning the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix on Sunday. Rossi speaks out on testing ban


“It would be a great handicap if I could not test the Ducati before the winter break”

Reigning MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi has said he is confident Yamaha will allow the Italian to test with Ducati following the final round of the 2010 season at Valencia.

Rossi’s comments come after Yamaha MotoGP boss Masao Furusawa hinted the team will prevent the Italian from taking part in the post-season test,  insisting Rossi will be “wearing blue until the end of the year”. Continue reading →

James Dean: The Star


James Byron Dean
(February 8, 1931 – September 30, 1955) was an American film actor. He is a cultural icon best embodied in the title of his most celebrated film, Rebel Without a Cause, in which he starred as troubled Los Angeles teenager Jim Stark. The other two roles that defined his stardom were as loner Cal Trask in East of Eden, and as the surly farmer Jett Rink in Giant. Dean’s enduring fame and popularity rests on only these three films, his entire output in a starring role. His death in a car crash at an early age cemented his legendary status.

Ducati quits World Superbike !?


Ducati
is quitting the racing series it helped popularize and that came to define its corporate success. This morning, Ducati announced it would no longer field a factory team in SBK, instead concentrating on MotoGP. Reading between the lines, it’s easy to jump to the much-rumored conclusion that the money Ducati had been putting towards seeing its 1198 lose to the Aprilia RSV4 will now go towards Valentino Rossi’s retirement fund.
