Tom Cruise Make and his Ducati Desmosedici

When he’s not filming for the movie Knight and Day or flirting with Cameron Diaz on a Ducati Hypermotard during breaks on the set, Tom Cruise seems to enjoy riding his very own Ducati Desmosedici and make the front page of both tabloids and motorcycle magazines.

Being only 5’ 7” inch tall, the actor and first US owner of a Ducati Desmosedici seems to manage with the big Italian supersport motorcycle very well and still look cool along the way. Continue reading →

BMW S1000RR vs. Bugatti Veyron

Another bike vs. car video, the usual BMW S1000RR but this time it’s pitted against the $1.700,000 Bugatti Veyron that is considered the second fastest street legal sports car on the planet. We all know that the BMW superbike pours out a massive 180bhp, but can it compete against this quad-turbocharged 16 cylinder that claims at top speed of 253 mph+? Continue reading →

2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R leaks in Cycle World

Looks like Cycle World has gone ahead and published embargoed information and images of the 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R ahead of the model’s official unveiling on October 5. Even more images below.

Update: we’ve just spoken to Kawasaki who say CW’s 200hp claim is only an estimate. The company hasn’t arrived at an official horsepower number yet as it’s still trying to finalize the arrangement of the exhaust in order to meet noise regulations while still presumably posting an S1000RR-beating peak figure. Video: Jet-powered scooter vs. Lamborghini Gallardo

We love ourselves a good drag race, but sometimes two-equally matched vehicles going head-to-head down a straight gets a bit boring. This is where ingenuity, bravery and a lack of self-preservation come in handy. Apparently, the Swedish have figured out a sure-fire way to spice up your standard 1,320-foot race. Take one Peugeot scooter (the video incorrectly calls it a Vespa), add a small jet-engine to the back and let a rider line up next to a Lamborghini Gallardo. Continue reading →

Video: Moscow motorcyclist’s crazy high-speed commute

Driving to work in the morning can be a tedious and annoying affair. At least, we imagine it is, since we are chained to the wall of a basement staring at a computer screen for 23.5 hours per day. One vehicle that can make any commute quicker is a motorcycle… perhaps even a stupid-fast literbike like the Yamaha R1. Continue reading →

The world’s most expensive motorcycle? US$275,000.00

If you’re the kinda guy that drives a Reventon, won’t tap on a laptop unless it’s a Luvaglio, and only sails Mangusta, then… Can I borrow some money? Er, also, have I got the motorcycle for you! It’s called the Ecosse Titanium Series- so called because it sports the world’s first all-titanium frame. Continue reading →

Segway company owner dies riding two-wheeled machine off cliff

Jimi Heselden, the owner of the Segway company, has died after riding one of the two-wheeled machines off a cliff and into a river.

The multi-millionaire businessman, 62, fell into the River Wharfe while inspecting the grounds of his North Yorkshire estate on a rugged country version of the Segway.

A passer-by found Heselden alongside his Segway in the Boston Spa area at about 11.40am on Sunday. Continue reading →
