Jason Wonder is one talented bike craftsmen. When his pal Chris Ronan asked for something a little different from the standard XR1200 , he got more that he was asking for! A hot rod bike without compromises what so ever, a stripped – hard – core muscle Harley with a pinch of good old British Cafe Racer-ness. Best place to start for these two guys was a stripped rolling chassis, working their way from the ground-up!

Look Back / NCR Mike Hailwood TT Ducati

For a brief moment we managed to forget about Italian NCR, the company which have been closely connected to the Ducati and racing for many years. In one of their history pages they’ve prepared a 900SS for 1977 IOM TT. It was a very special bike and for a very special rider. That year Mike Hailwood was unbeatable, winning in front of all factory machines in great style. Only three years before (1974) – Mike experienced a life-threatening and almost career-ending crash in Germany. But we all know that IOM TT is only for the bravest and the best, and Mike was certainly one of them. Continue reading →

Casey Stoner victorious at 2011 Indy MotoGP

Stoner won the Indianapolis US MotoGP. And that can wrap up the whole description of the Sundays race. Again – as we’ve seen him before, Stoner eased out at the start – setting in at the confortable third position. Waiting for his tires to get up to the optimum temperature and scanning each of his opponents moves, he made his move on the lap 7 and never looked back. Such a dominant way of riding havent’s been seen for….well for a long time. Continue reading →

Yamaha TZ750 OW31 at Paul Ricard

Wow, this video is simply stunning. Possible the closest thing to actually riding a two stroked TZ750 Yamaha. It reminds us of times when we played Tourist Trophy game on PS2 all day long (onboard our favorite Honda NSR400). In reality the rider is Philippe Bézière, and the circuit is Paul Ricard in France. Absolutely brilliant and breathtaking at the same time. Continue reading →

Custom Triumph Street Triple R / Hooligan Café Racer

Although the motorcycling industry is creating more and more bikes that aren’t so exciting anymore, smart people will always find ways around this. UK based Triumph dealer Jack Lilley done just that, by taking Street Triple and making it into hooligan Cafe Racer Special. Arrow slip-on cans are barely road legal and LSL clip-on handlebars are super agressive. Add to the equation some LSL rear sets + fully adjustable Kayaba shock and USD forks + Pirelli Rosso Diablo tires + racing quickshifter = instant transportation to the youth years, riding two stroke hooligan machines. WTF of the Day: Parked my bike on Cop car…?

What happened here, you would ask. The motorcycle rider suffered only minor injuries in the crash with the police cruiser in Jacksonville, US. According to Jacksonville.com the Cop was doing the U-Turn and the motorcyclist hit him. Both of them were fine. Crazy…

Hiroshi Aoyama at 1000fps / The Perfect Lap

Another video from RedBull production – this time showing us Hiroshi Aoyama and his “The Perfect Lap”. More of stunning visual shots and 1000fps slow-mo’s. Going 300km/h is the ultimate thrill for the Japanese rider – “i like that feeling”… Continue reading →
