Mike Gilson and Mark Robbinson are the men behind the new Cafe Racer on the market: The Gilson Type 1. This retro machine based around 2007/2008 carburetted Triumph Thruxton will give you the sense you’ve just stepped in 1960s, with it’s lightweight wheels, freshly rebuilt bearings seals and bushes, powder-coated frame and K&N filters. Add to that lightweight bodywork, new exhaust and shocks – and you have an nice cool bike for everyday usage.
Certainly something different than the boring offerings from the big manufacturer. Fuel tank is aluminum hand made – and you just need to have £12,500 ready, cus that is how much this bike cost.
