Honda CX500 Street Tracker by Rive Gauche Kustoms

WOW, what a fantastic looking custom! We don’t know much about it, but we know that it was modified by the Paris group by the name of Rive Gauche Kustoms. The base for the RGK street tracker is a well known Honda CX500, a bike often used in custom subculture. What separates this Honda from the rest of Wrenchmonkees’, Doc’s and Mucci’s is the level of details and couple of radical solutions. Continue reading →

Gonzo BMW R45 by El Solitario Heritage Motorcycle Co.

Hunter S. Thompson would love this bike – loud and slow, crazy looking, with tons and tons of character. The “no plan bike” as the El Solitario Motorcycle Co. would call it in-house, the GONZO wasn’t meant to happen…Created in the moments when there wasn’t better things to do, with various junk parts laying around the shop – it turned out to be something special. Just look at the PIAA headlights, 21 inch Akront front wheel, and custom “made” seat. The bike breaths through velocity stacks, and spits it’s gasses through the set of straight pipes. 2012 WSB Phillip Island / Max Victorious in Race 1, Checa in Race 2

It looks like Max is on fire!

Wining the 2012 Phillip Island Race 1 in fine style with 7 seconds advantage over the second placed Melandri, Max Biaggi is showing that he’s in top form. Although the team is running without the major sponsor this year (Al Italia is gone) it looks like Aprilia again produced top notch machine. Max was the only rider in race 1 to produce consecutive low 1.32 laps – putting the rest of the field to shame. Continue reading →

WSB Q1 Phillip Island / Honda and Rea fastest

If it wasn’t for Jonathan Rea on board his 2012 WSBK Honda CBR1000RR, it would be 1-2-3 for the Ducati 1098R gang! Rea was the fastest in Q1 and was the only rider to lap the Phillip Island under the 1m32s mark. Jonathan was closely followed by the Ducati trio of Jakub Smrz (2nd – 1m 32.116s) and two Althea Ducati riders – Davide Giugliano (3rd – 1m 32.198s) and Carlos Checa (4th – 1m 32.228s). John Renwick and his 180hp Vincent Epithemeus

If Burt Munro was alive, he would hang out with these guys!!!

John Renwick and Ed Wallbank created this greek-god motorcycle called Epithemeus – the 1665cc Vincent producing 180hp with a little help from the good old friend Nitrous Oxide. A three wheeled mad-man-machine powered by the old 1950 British V-Twin spinning the rear wheel via air-operated auto-gear box. Plain crazy. Check out the dyno run Continue reading →
