The Czech FGR team done just that – they built the 2442cc V6 motorcycle, the most powerful production motorcycle developing a ludicrous 240hp! The “compact” engine is a “V” configuration 6 cylinder beast, mounted to the trellis frame featuring the aluminum rear swingarm. Insanely interesting last minutes of the yesterdays Qualifying at Dutch IVECO TT saw Casey Stoner flying around Assen in equally insane pace setting the pole position time of 1.33.713. The Hondas were blistering with Pedrosa finishing second (+0.113) and Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) as the final rider on the first row with 0.173s gap behind Stoner. Stefan Bradl on board his LCR Honda followed Rossi on the final laps of the qualifying managing to brake later and pick his lines, taking 4th spot on the grid!!! Continue reading →
Meet the number six from Axel Budde and his custom workshop Kaffeemaschine, Hamburg. It is a custom Moto Guzzi Le Mans 1980, built for British rider Brian Cowen who wanted his own old-school machine capable of beating anything vintage that come in its way. When you look at the main features – the bike is fairly simple – a vintage cafe racer finished in red and silver, rolling on alloy wheels. Recent reports reveal that an European spec’d version of the so far “JDM only” Honda CB1100 is being tested on Austria’s roads, which would suggest a production model coming the Europe in 2013! In today’s world of sport it is not uncommon that the best sportsman isn’t the highest payed one too. Look at the case of our “dear” Valentino Rossi. Currently sitting in the 6th place overall in MotoGP standings – Valentino Rossi is still earning more than any MotoGP rider out there. With the estimated salary of $17 million (Ducati isn’t happy for sure) and $13 million in endorsements, he’s still very close to his most successful year in MotoGP (estimated $36 million). This is the 16th custom bike to roll out of the Cafe Racer Dream garage – our favorite Spanish custom workshop. The CRD#16 Atómica is based on a evergreen Yamaha SR250 which was skillfully transformed into a light and airy surf board tracker.
