For all of us on bikes…

It’s the “e” thing again…

…this time coming from Audi. If we would to use the PR language, this is a new futuristic way of transportation, a 26-inch wheeled e-bicycle combining pedal power with an electric engine. It features a nine speed hydraulically actuated gear shift, two hydraulic disc brakes, a variety of riding modes and a 530 Wh battery pack good for 50-70km.

In other words, it is an Audi carbon fiber bicycle weighing in 21kg that incorporates a small electric engine. That’s about it. The real break through technology IOHO is the hidden heigh adjustable seat. Nice looking bike though…are they going to build one ever?

Riding modes:

‘Pure’ – speak for itself
‘Pedelec’ – combined mode for maximum autonomy
‘eGrip’ – all electric
‘Wheelie’ – wheelie assist
