It’s been quite a while since we last heard of Lazareth. You remember the crazy-inovative french custom builder who created V8 powered Mini Cooper pickup and V12 Wazuma Bio?
Halfway between a Scrambler and a café racer, the BMW R1200R was build when one of the customers asked for a neo-scrambler. Lazareth took the BMW R1200GS and stripped it down to the motor, swingarm and wheels. The whole new custom frame was built, scraping the telelever system in the front, now holding the R6 Yamaha front forks – mounted through the custom set of tipple trees with enough room for the fat front tire.
The whole bike is minimal yet tasteful, with a good number of neat details. Just check the carburetor setup. We wouldn’t mind the skinnier front tire – but this is Lazareth – he knows better. Superb custom!
