Ayrton Badovini managed to destroy the 2010 FIM Superstock 1000 Championship, wining 9 races out of 10, just to finish second in tenth race. In that respect, BMW Italia will release 50 units of S1000RR Superstock Limited Edition bikes, each with it’s own number, and by default coming in one type of configuration. Already a potent motorcycle, this S1000RR will come with a bunch of aftermarket goodies like Akrapovic “racing exhaust, BMW Italia racing colors, LED turn signals, carbon fiber panels and Gilles Tooling rearsets and levers.
The limited edition motorcycle will have the ability to haul one more passenger, as the passenger kit and foot pegs will be included in the bundle. Now, there is the price. With €11,000 more than a standard bike (€27,000), it seems that price is on a steep side. But thats where the limited numbers and “Italy exclusive” comes in. For sure BMW calculated well that there would be 50 “crazy-enough” Italians who would opt for this bike. Availability: March 2011.
