Chinese automotive manufacturing company Qoros have presented at the Geneva Motor Show their new futuristic electric bike, the Qoros eBIQE Concept. Apparently, it has three driving modes – pedaling with no assistance, pedaling with assistance from the electric motor, or solely motor power, which unleashes the motor’s full 12kW (16hp), enabling the “electric bike” hit a top whack of 65km/h. Claimed range is between 80km-120km depending on the mode, from the 1.3kWh battery whose charge takes 80 minutes on a normal plug. The eBIQE also boasts a fingerprint recognition system, with the ability to recognize multiple users and is equipped with a 5″ touchscreen that is always connected to the internet via 3G, displaying route planning, intelligent navigation, social networking and the bike´s condition including tyre pressure, battery charge and range. And if you think the styling looks familiar, it is based on the GreyP Bikes G12, an electric bike developed by the founders of Rimac Automobili. More images after the jump. Continue reading →
