2012 Kawasaki Z1000 by Lossa Engineering

Another absolutely stunning motorcycle coming from Lossa Engineering – this time it’s the 2012 Kawasaki Z1000 naked custom! Built for Eric Bostrom, while paying a tribute to recently passed Gary Nixon, the brief was fairly simple – to make the new bike look like the old school Kawasaki race bike. Jay Loosa offered his services for free (as he saw the potential of the project) building a one-off gas tank and custom billet wheels that mimicker the vintage Kawi mags… Continue reading →

Jérôme Pierre’s Kawasaki W650

Pneu Dans La Tombe means “A Tire In The Grave”…

When you’re a French moto blog owner, and the blogs name is Un Pneu Dans La Tombe, then for sure you need to have a kick-ass two wheeled machine just to go with the whole “cool” aspect. And Jérôme Pierre (owner) did just that – he got his machine – a deeply personalized brat-styled custom motorcycle that is both cool looking and built on a budget. How did he do this? By choosing the Kawasaki W650 as a platform while he kept it sane when it comes to part selection. Continue reading →

Albert “The Chief” Hurt’s Kawasaki KZ1000 cafe Racer

Albert “The Chief” Hurt is a retired Coast Guard officer who lives in Spokane, USA. He’s also a bike builder and a mastermind behind this sick looking Kawasaki KZ1000 cafe Racer. Using the 1992 Kawasaki KZ1000 Police Special as the starting point, Albert changed pretty much everything aside from the frame and the engine. The fork and the swing arm are sourced from the 1995 Suzuki RF900R, the stock brakes are changed to twin-disc Nilsin’s, while the exhaust is custom fabricated. The rear sets are off of a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R600, and with the little welding – they fitted in nicely. Continue reading →

Z 1000A Kaffeeracer by RF Biketech

There’s a lot of custom bikes on the todays market, but the thing is 80% of them are Harley’s. If we would use that assumption – that leaves us with 20% divided between streetfighters, sport bikes and cafe racers. Now, the mix of these three subcategories would further reduce the number of bikes – and that is where German RF Biketech is holding it’s niche. Check out this custom Kawasaki Z1000A Kafferacer featuring 280mm rear tire mounted to a single sided custom swingarm. Continue reading →
