Brammo Empulse R / To be, or not to be (electric)

Huh, this is a tough one…Ok, let’s start by saying that to mass produce a new motorcycle is an enormous feat by itself, a truly gigantic one! And for a new company like Brammo to successfully release a new electric bike on the market…we’re speechless. Thumbs up guys. The bike is sexy, well thought of, nicely designed – it looks like the ICE bike – spot on! But…then we start to look at it a little bit closer. The forks are Marzocchi, the tires Avon 3D Ultra Sport, wheels are Marchesini, brakes Brembo, Sachs rear shock…hmmm, looks like they incorporated all the best brands…and that leaves us with a chassis and the engine done by Brammo. Nothing new – others are doing it all the time… Continue reading →

Past Concepts / 2010 / Magpul Buell 1125R

Couple of things you need to know about this badboy. It is a custom Buell 1125R build by the company specialized in weapons accessories – Magpul. The name Ronin comes from the Japanese culture and stands for a samurai warrior who lost his master (as the first concept appeared around the same time Buell shit its doors – the name makes a lot of sense). All the aggressiveness and styling cues come from the elements of the cafe racers, streetfighters and – believe it or not – Vincent Black Shadow! The girder-styled front fork, the radical headlight, the front mounted oil cooler and couple more clever tricks helped this bike loose a staggering 22kg! Continue reading →

Web Find of the Day / Custom Ducati Monster

The fact that factory Ducati Moster look pretty good for a mass production motorcycle doesn’t stop the owners to sometimes go crazy with customizations. We particularly love this one as it’s very subtle with an amazing attention to details. Carbon-fiber, black and “gold” parts were mixed to produce one fantastic looking “monster”!. What do you think?

We also know that Yamaha sometime back in the 1960s created one of the best looking motorcycles of all time – the Yamaha SR. What we didn’t know (so far) is that Loose Motorcycle existed. When we came across their’s custom Yamaha SR racer we immediately fell in love. You will too. Continue reading →
