Harley-Davidson Middle East and North Africa (MENA) has announced the opening of a brand new showroom for its iconic motorcycles in Fujairah, UAE, under the auspices of Khalifa Al Masood the owner of the local dealership Abdulla Al Masaood & Sons Motorcycles LLC. The two day opening ceremony, held on the 27th and 28th of February 2014, saw VIPs and members of the media attend on the first day, with motorcycle aficionados and Harley-Davidson fans flocking in the day after. Live bands entertained attendees at the grand opening, which drew 150 bikes and 200 attendees over two days. There were activities for children, and a showcase of some of Harley-Davidson’s best selling motorcycles. A celebratory cake was cut and a commemorative plaque put up. The new showroom is located near KM Trading in Moh’d Bin Mattar Road, Fujairah. Abdulla Al Masaood & Sons Motorcycles LLC, operating under the umbrella of Al Masaood Group, is Harley-Davidson’s third fully value added dealership in the UAE.

KTM Middle East Al Shafar organized the event called the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Experience recently at the Dubai Autodrome. This was the official introduction of the Austrian manufacturer’s newest model in to the Middle East region, the 2014 KTM 1290 Super Duke R. 35 riders and 25 guests and media personalities took part in the festivities. Middle East KTM dealers from Kuwait (KNS Racing), Lebanon (ANB Holding), Jordan (Darwazeh Bikes) and the newly signed dealer from Egypt (Abougahly Motors). KTM has unveiled the 2014 RC390 at the 2013 EICMA, based on the 390 Duke platform. The sporty bike punches out 43hp from its 373cc single engine. There is no word on the gearing as of now, but we guess KTM to make it a bit edgier. The rear of the 390 Duke has been modified with a trellis subframe for a stiffer and more aggressive, track-oriented geometry. Styling-wise, we have rather familiar dual headlights accompanied by a pointy beak up front, while also incorporating some details from the RC8. Suspension is from WP while the Bybre brakes come from Brembo. Continue reading →
