Motus MST goes into production / A question worth $30,975…

Officially, this is the 2013 Motus MST motorcycle in production trim and, for us, the first motorcycle that can rightfully wear the “hot rod” tag alongside its name. Why? Well, the Motus MST’s KMV4 engine is essentially an American V8 muscle car engine cut in half, that’s why! From the initial plans to feature GDI (gasoline direct injection), Motus went with what looks like a more feasible option, the direct port injection. The base model’s 1650cc V4 engine produces 165hp, while the specced-up version, the MST-R, has a full 185hp. It is expected go into production by fall this year, sporting a selling price of $30,975 for the base model and $36,975 for the “R” version. Continue reading →

Moto Guzzi 1400 California…in Miami

Now this is awkward. Looks like Moto Guzzi want to show everybody their latest model, the California 1400, but they don’t want to release any pictures or specs! Although we got a glimpse of the bike couple of months back via numerous mobile phone camera shots, this time the California was presented to American dealers at an event in Miami. And if it wasn’t for Max Biaggi and his mobile phone camera, we wouldn’t be seeing the all-new 1400cc air-cooled engine residing in a cruiser/Harley-looking body, complete with a long wheelbase, low seating position and strange looking headlight (with daytime running LEDs on the sides). Yamaha Worldcrosser is getting closer…

It looks like the beautiful Yamaha WorldCrosser concept will become a realty after all. Although back in 2010 Yamaha factory denied that WorldCrosser will ever hit the market, in 2011 they’ve trademarked the name casting a shadow of a doubt on the previous statement. In the 2012 we’ll see the limited edition machine (basically Super Tenere with carbon fiber side panels, fork protectors and frame guards, plus an alloy skid plate, plus plus) being priced at £12,999, £1000 more than a stock Super Tenere. March will be the release date for UK market. Check out the full picture gallery after the jump. Continue reading →
