Custom / Icon’s Ducati Super Sport 900 / “The Operator”

They call it “The Operator”. Yet another addition to the Post Apocalyptic Icon 1000 lineup of custom motorcycles, Icon’s awesome Ducati Super Sport 900 has been shorn of all unwanted body panels and plastic aero bits in a nod to ‘function over form’ aesthetics.

And would you believe that this bike was built from something that was stolen and crashed? Much of the bodywork was damaged, so it was done away with, while the substantially battered subframe was repaired and painted.

The tank is slathered in satin black, perfectly complemented by low profile, high visibility LED lighting front and back. Topping off the job are ex-military munitions crates, mounted on the tail, and a bunch of branded decals and some UN-approved first aid symbols and a couple of quirky hand lettering.

  1. You wrote “‘function over form’ aesthetics”. I think what you meant was “cobbled together aesthetics”.

  2. UN-approved first aid symbols? Ever heard about a country named Switzerland? These are clearly swiss flags.
