Hollywood star Keanu Reeves has decided to start building motorcycles, and he’s joined hands with Gard Hollinger of La County Chop Rods to that end. The company, Arch Motorcycle, will be engaged in the production of motorcycles based on the KR GT-1 concept, with production scheduled for 2013.
Keanu Reeves: “I love to bike all: the sound, style, aesthetics and practicality, but most of all I love to travel. I enjoy motorcycles for as long as I can remember, so I want to share my passion with the world.”
Gollinger Guard: “We have common views on many things. We started out with the idea of a performance of modern motorcycle. When the bike was finished, it was like a production motorcycle, but different from anything we’ve ever seen. The motorcycle is unique, and we look forward to the time when able to present it to the world.”
Both Keanu and Gard had a hand in designing the prototype KR GT-1, and they see a lot of potential in this motorcycle. Based on a 1984 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead, the KR GT-1 is equipped with an inverted fork and unusual pendulum suspension Ohlins. Keanu has been riding motorcycles for more than two decades, and two-wheelers are a way of life for him, so to speak. Interestingly, his first bike was a Kawasaki 600 enduro he bought in 1986 on location in Germany.

Just wondering when this bike will be available and will it be available other than special order in the midwest?? Also, there are mechanic’s actually working on the actual bike right?? Mr. Reeves and Mr. Gard are the design team?? Not trying to be bitchy, but just cautious. Also, what is the price range?
If you could please get back w/me, I would appreciate it. My brothers b-day is coming up and I would like for him to have something as sweet as this bike if possible.

Bike looks hot! Is that chrome on the tank, seat, and, rear? How tall does one have to be to ride one of these? Looks heavy for a lady. What are the specs on the engine or where can I get more info on the bikes ARCH in offering? Glad to see Reeves is putting his money to good use by helping with the employment rate! Hope it is a successful venture for both of you!
