Agility Saietta Electric Motorcycle Revealed / Video

Meet the Agility Saietta, the new motorcycle entering the electric bike market. Other than it’s unconventional looks, this bike (designed in London) is not bringing anything extraordinary to the plate. You would be able to chose from two options of Saietta: the 50 miles range Saietta S, and a 100 miles range Saietta R. Despite it’s labeling, the models “S” will be the one quicker to 60 mph, as the “R” model will need to howl an extra battery pack, adding to it’s overall weight. One more thing that is added to R model is higher price (logically). The S models will be priced at £9,975, while R will have a £13,975 price tag (roughly $16,200 and $22,650). Performance wise, there are some rumors that it will have 675HP per ton, quite peppy :) Continue reading →

First MotoGP Test of 2011 / Simoncelli on top

Source: MotoGP
The San Carlo Honda Gresini rider finished Thursday at the Sepang Test with the fastest time of the entire three days. Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo were second and third fastest respectively, with Valentino Rossi tenth.

The first on-track MotoGP action of the year concluded at Sepang on Thursday, and in an exciting opening chapter of the pre-season period it was Marco Simoncelli who topped the third and final day’s timesheet in Malaysia. The San Carlo Honda Gresini rider posted a 2’00.757 on his second of 42 laps, an effort that registered the best time of the entire Test and which was just 0.239s off Valentino Rossi’s 2009 circuit best lap. 2011 Kawasaki ZRX1200 / Golden Brown

Mind you, Kawasaki ZRX1200, was missing from the European listing for the last year. The fact is that MY 2010 was deeply revised, but that didn’t seem to matter in the old continent. Bike like this is belonging to a very narrow niche market consisting of Superbike enthusiasts and fans of Jap bikes made in 70s and 80s. Meanwhile, this incredible piece of engineering continued to evolve, and 2011 brought two new colors: Dark green with light green stripe and brown with caramel brown stripe. Continue reading →

Racing and Life Philosophy / AFM 2010

A very nicely done movie by the guys from 4theriders.com. It is s non-profit film put together for the awards banquet for the 2010 AFM racing season. We, personally, think that there is a lot to compare between the real life and racing, and if you listen to the speech in the video, you can notice those parallels as well. Enjoy! MV Agusta F4 RR 312 1078 Edizione Finale / Photo Gallery

2010 MV Agusta F4 is smoother, cheaper, lighter and faster that the F4′s of the past. But, it’s not “the” original F4, built by Massimo Tamburini back in 1998. What we are showing here is the last batch of those original motorcycles. The name is totally appropriate - Edizione Finale, and it’s based on the 1078 RR 312. With 190HP and 91.4lb/ft of torque coming from 1078cc engine, this bike is capable of hitting 194mph, while Brembo Monoblock radial calipers will help you stop. Continue reading →

Recall / 2011 Harley-Davidson Softails with Security System

Harley-Davidson has registered a recall with the NHTSA for 6,964 Softail models that have the factory security system option installed. Affecting only 2011 model year Softails that were built between June 7, 2010 and October 8, 2010, the recall is the result of an improper seal on a component in the security system, which could leak and let water in, thus causing an electrical short that could stall the bike. Scoop by Custom-Wolf

Wolfgang Baetz is the owner of Custom Wolf workshop in Bavaria, and he’s been building bikes for over 20 years. When he sold his personal bike to a guy who made him an offer he couldn’t refuse, there was the only one thing left to do. Build a new bike, better than the one before. The whole thing started as he came across a original Moto Martin frame somewhere in Germany, and he decided to use it with Suzuki GSX engine. He knew he was onto something good… Continue reading →

Royal Enfield’ new CEO

Meet the new CEO of Royal Enfield – Dr. Venki Padmanabhan. He was serving Indian company for the past two years as COO. While Padmanabhan has been at Royal Enfield, the company had seen 21% growth in sales volume, 54% growth in sales turnover, and double-digit profitability (now that’s impressive). We imagine that Dr. Padmanabhan will continue the strong growth the company, expanding into emerging markets while solidifying Royal Enfield’s position in India against outside producers.
