Yesterday was the first official test day in 2011 MotoGP season. Some teams performed as we expected, some not, but all in all it was a exciting day for everybody. Stoner and Pedrosa proved that the are super fast, and of course we cannot forget Jorge Lorenzo! Ben Spies is not so much of a surprise for us, but we have to say that Marco Simoncelli is – 4th fastest! Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden of Ducati Corse team 12th and 13th. More after the jump. 2002 Turbo Kawasaki ZRX 1200

We are a great admirerers of Kawasaki brand, especially when it comes to retro looking bikes. This is a random web find of a beautiful JDM muscle bike, the 2002 Kawasaki ZRX 1200 with a small performance upgrade hanging beneath the radiator. Yes, you guessed it right, it’s Turbocharged. The owner didn’t want to go with anything else other then the best brands, so you can easily spot the SuperTrapp Kerker exhaust, Öhlins suspension all round, Tokico brakes, Carrozzeria V7R Forged wheels and Trac Dynamic extended aluminum swingarm. Full gallery after the jump. Continue reading →

JDM BULL / Dirt Style / RSD XL1200

BULL Original, custom shop from Japan is taking a very interesting way in developing custom looks for Harley Davidson models. Having used a whole bunch of RSD parts (they are Official RSD dealers for Japan), they were able to create this “Scrambler” version of a popular H-D Sportster. We like it! More pictures and specs after the jump.  Continue reading →

Paul Sr. Quietly Selling His Personal Collection

Paul Teutul Sr. is making the news again. This time in a bit more indirect way than before, when he sued his son for ownership of Orange County Choppers. And only last week, OCC name was mentioned again, with regards to the disarrangements over property loan with GE Capital (finance firm), which then filed for foreclosure on the custom workshop. Now, behind the curtain, Paul Sr. is selling his personal motorcycle collection. Ariel T-5, BSA B33 and 1943 BSA M20. Continue reading →

New Moto Guzzi V7 California and Scrambler

The new California and the Scrambler shown at the 2011 Dealer Convention

At the Dealer Convention, an annual event reserved for Piaggio dealers and distributors around the world, two Moto Guzzi concepts with very interesting styling, were unveiled. First of two is the long awaited re-issue of California, shown in white, and another is the new version of Scrambler V7. The California prototype is powered by a 90 degrees V-Twin with the displacement of 1400cc. It is likely that the engine would retain pushrods and rockers, and will not have the DOHC. WTF of the Day: 4 Year Old Girl Riding Motorcycle!?

This is just insane. A 4-year-old girl, riding a motorcycle through dense Indian traffic, with her dad (we would like to think he is) sitting on the back seat. She is barely reaching the foot pedals, but she is riding like hell! And on top of this – “dad” is teaching her that a proper motorcycle gear should be a shorts, slippers and sunglasses…Crazy people… Continue reading →

2011 MotoGP Repsol Honda Team / RC212V

It would be a three-man line up for Repsol Honda 2011 MotoGP team, with such names as Dani Pedrosa, Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso. All of them would be riding a brand new 2011 Honda RC212V, with small differences, competing against Yamaha YZR-M1 and Ducati Desmosedici GP11 machines. The original plan was for Stoner to have his own team, presumably under the Red Bull banner, but the deal went sour. Repsol finally stepped in and rescued the situation, creating another interesting one along the way – the one with 3 MotoGP riders under one roof. Continue reading →

Valentino Rossi 1198 Suberbike Test / Video

Only seventy-three days after an operation to his right shoulder, Valentino Rossi returned to the track at Misano Adriatico aboard a Ducati 1198 Superbike.

With only 25 laps at the Misano test, Rossi’s outing was a very short one. Although this was the situation for Rossi, he was able to get a grasp of his shoulder recovery rate right away, saying: “the track more or less confirmed what we expected: the shoulder is painful—especially under braking, when the front area hurts, where they stitched the tendon.Continue reading →

Twitter / Hector Barbera reveals his Ducati Desmosedici GP11

Twitter is “the” social network for MotoGP riders and all others involved in MotoGP and WSBK circus. Today, it’s up to Hector Barbera, the rider of the Spanish Aspar Team Ducati, to “tweet” preview of his latest racing machine, the Ducati Desmosedici GP11 bike. Interesting thing about the pictures (from a mobile device obviously) is that bikes have no racing colors on them yet. Barbera tweets: “color is a surprise, and I tell you, not yellow.” Continue reading →
