Copyright: Dakar.com
In a shortened 273 km special stage, Chilean rider Francisco Lopez managed – with his Aprilia bike – to achieve best time for the first time this year, which brings him slightly closer to Coma and Despres. It is the third consecutive stage that escapes the two KTM riders…
In the car category, Stéphane Peterhansel had more trouble with flat tires while Orlando Terranova had to withdraw after somersaulting as Guerlain Chicherit had done the day before. Nasser Al-Attiyah gets closer to Sainz after a 10th stage victory in his Dakar career.

Dragon TT Atila 1000 R Concept bike

This rather “interesting” motorcycle debuted at the 2010 EICMA show, as a product of a collaboration between Spanish designer Dragon TT and Madrid based builder MotoYE. We would say that this Spanish duo is responsible for a “monster”, a cross between motorcycle and a Predator species (with some genes of Wall-E :) ). The base is the  1000cc Yamaha R1 inline-four engine, with 160HP, but bolted onto the chassis of 1990′s Yamaha GTS1000. Just as a reminder, GTS1000 was one of the first models with single sided RADD design (front suspension and steering). Continue reading →

‘Travel All Over the World with 2011 CBR250R’ / Honda’s promotional Game

Honda is using all kinds of tricks in order to promote it’s 2011 Honda CBR250R. The latest one is a flash game (if you can call it a game) for users to experience worldwide. The “game” starts off with you picking up your favorite bike color and anime styled avatar – that will be riding the bike in the game for you. And….that’s pretty much it. Other than speeding up and slowing down, there isn’t anything else that you can do in the game, except watching the landscapes passing by (probably the whole point). Continue reading →
