Hardcore Day in Hockenheim / 20th Anniversary

_MG_0379

Around 20 years ago, Marcus Walz started his business customising motorcycles, beginning with the “Timeless” in 1993. Two decades on, more than 3000 friends, fans and clients celebrated the anniversary at Hockenheim, many of them bringing their own WALZ bikes to the Show.

Apart from the bikes, Mr. King Kerosin himself organized the legendary Red Carpet Lounge in the middle of the party tent, which was much bigger than last year. Some crazy on-stage party too, with Dougie and the Blind Brothers and the Hellabama Honky Tonks partying till they dropped.

Anyways, enough with the yabba dabba. Check out the mega image gallery. Continue reading →

150 000 euro “Benchmark” Custom by Marcus Walz

Marcus Walz is one hell-of-a-custom-motorcycle-builder and a promoter, and here’s why. He’s constantly evolving, changing, upgrading and refining his bikes – so even if they cost 150 000 euro they are still desirable. Check out one such bike, as it’s the “Benchmark”. TMAX Hyper Modified by Marcus Walz

After the Hyper Modified VMAX, Marcus Walz took another Yamaha for the customization – the legendary and game changing Maxi scooter – the Yamaha TMAX 530! The famous custom builder from Germany didn’t want to change much of the original TMAX appearance, yet he wanted to check every detail and try to make the scooter as light as possible. By changing the original exhaust for the aftermarket unit, the original battery for the lithium lightweight one, and by removing some of the plastic parts, Walz succeeded to cut the original weight by 14kg! Three Hyper Modified Yamaha VMAX’s

Meet Roland Sands from US, Marcus Walz from Germany and Ludovic Lazareth from France. They created three distinctly different Hyper Modified VMAX’s and they all did a pretty awesome job. Marcus focused on the mild streetfighter look, while Ludovic and Sands went a bit further. Vettel buys a $100 000 chopper from Walz

Raining 2010 F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel is planning to by a $100 000 chopper from Marcus Walz. Germain master motorcycle builder is not new to this type of business as he already hand built a stunning looking Ferrari inspired bike for former F1 World Champion Kimi Raikonen, back in 2007. Rumors say that Vettel opted for Avalanche chopper – a 1780mm arm-stretched-length monster, putting down around 120hp. With the customizations that Walz does, it’s likely that Vettel will splash out $50 000 more over the already astronomical price of the “standard” bike.  Continue reading →
