2012 Kawasaki Z1000 by Lossa Engineering

Another absolutely stunning motorcycle coming from Lossa Engineering – this time it’s the 2012 Kawasaki Z1000 naked custom! Built for Eric Bostrom, while paying a tribute to recently passed Gary Nixon, the brief was fairly simple – to make the new bike look like the old school Kawasaki race bike. Jay Loosa offered his services for free (as he saw the potential of the project) building a one-off gas tank and custom billet wheels that mimicker the vintage Kawi mags… Continue reading →

Custom 1963 Jawa 250 Two Stroke Bobber

Incidentally we stumbled upon this lovely machine – a 1963 Jawa 250cc two-stroke bobber – and we thought that it would be brilliant to share it with you. Built in Ukraine by the guy called “cranberry” this slick old Jawa is something special. Full of caracter with amazing garage-built details, this bike shows that it’s not all about money and good part sourcing. Custom leaf spring front end is a DIY job, as is the frame and the rest of the cool elements (old bicycle handlebars with internal wiring). Continue reading →

Kitano Replica K-16 by Snake Motors

The incredible Japanese…
The story goes something like this: Snake Motors built a vintage looking board tracker powered by a small 50cc engine for Mr.Kitano, and present it in the magazing “Setagaya” Vol.18 under the name DAYTONA No245 (complicated, but bare with us). The small cc masterpiece became a big hit and people started inquiring. What we see in front of us is the replica of the Mr. Kitano’s bike named the K-16. Snake Motors can build you one – the exact same replica – but you would need to wait for a while. Continue reading →

Big Bang by Eamon O’Toole / NSR500 / Mick Doohan

In an Art Gallery in Ipswich, Australia, there is one unusual sculpture hanging from the ceiling, called the “Big Bang”. If you look at it closer (and you’re motorcycling “nerd”) you’ll notice that it is in fact the legendary Honda NSR500 ridden by Mick Doohan – blown to million pieces….or 300 to be exact :) . The artist – Eamon O’Toole – wanted to express his emotions, but we’re not sure whether they were “love” or “hate” towards motorcycles…it must be love Continue reading →

2012 One Motorcycle Show / See See Motorcycles and Bell

The custom motorcycle show doesn’t always have to display absolutely perfect bikes – the ones that were built for long periods of time with silly amount of work and attention to the details…the paint doesn’t have to have 6 clear coats and the chrome doesn’t have to be polished just 10min ago. The “One Motorcycle Show” held in Portland, Oregon, is about different type of custom motorcycles – the one we cut and grind and paint in order to become the extension of our personality…and then for us to ride them. Continue reading →

Vintage Scooter Racers / Northweald Sprint 1965

Check out this cool vintage photos of scooter-racers from back in the day. The year was 1965 and the event – Northweald Sprint. We are not quite sure if it was the scooter show, rally of the top speed event, nevertheless the stripped Vespa’s and Lambretta’s are looking amazing even by todays standards. The low mounted handlebars and the stripped out chassis are insane! Timeless! Continue reading →

NSMB British Motorcycle Restorers / 1955 Sunbeam S7 rescued

If you have a British or any vintage two-wheeled machine (and you live in the UK) that needs some minor technical assistance, or maybe even a full restoration, then there's a big chance Neil Hopewell is your man. Setting up the NSMB workshop back in 2006, Neil built his business out of love for older motorcycles and the process of restoration. Mr. Hopewell can work on anything – British classics, Japanese bikes, two-stroke, four-stroke, single, twin or triple cylinder engines, v-twins and four cylinder machines, old wrecks and fateful old runners, you name it. His pride and joy is a 1955 Sunbeam S7 that he rescued from the scrap heap.

The pictures and the quality of work speak for themselves – check out the amazing before and after photos. Continue reading →
